Living mice contain viruses, so no need to kill them its useful to keep them to breed them to have a steady source of virus dishes, using a syringe on a mouse will get some of the infected blood.
Wear a Bio-Suit. Contact diseases spread like wildfire just touching items can spread it, wear a bio suit or you and everything you hold dear will become infected.
Use science goggles for seeing who and whats infected
Chemistry's job is no longer to cure viruses its now entirely up to you the pathologist.

Disease Analyzer | Anaylzes Virus Dishes if their growth is at 100%, adds disease to database. Parts: 3 Scanning Modules, 1 Micro Laser, 1 Manipulator |
|
Disease Splicer | This is responsible for creating disease disks and splicing them into diseases | |
Centrifuge | Creates vaccines and isolates diseases to a dish the better version of the isolator. Parts: 3 Manipulators |
|
Incubator | Incubates Disease dishes to grow or hinder diseases Parts: 2 Scanning Module, 1 Matter Bin, 2 Micro Lasers |
First things first, you are going to want to find some infected blood, people with dormant diseases (look purple with goggles), late joins and mice have these. To see whos infected take your science goggles and refer the the disease spread types and you to see whos infected
Expect to be tried as a war criminal if you make your disease airborne spread, for good viruses blood spread is what you want.
Bring the blood sample back to your lab and throw it into the centrifuge and isolate this may take some time, so its best advised to go find more diseases in the mean time.
Bring the disease to the incbuator after giving it some virus food to grow, afterwards bring it to the analyzer to analyze it
You now have an analyzed disease, it splits into two sections from here. Modification and Curing.
There are a total of 4 different diseases you can find and harness. Each has it's own unique properties.
Strenght and Robustness generally affect how difficult it is to cure said disease.
When multiple diseases are introduced in the same body, an internal war can begin where they will try to attack each other. The winner is decided based on it's strength stat.
Disease Type | Description | Attack |
---|---|---|
Virus | Balanced disease. Only loses 1 stage in newly infected hosts. | Parasites |
Parasites | Slower infection rate. Stage preserved for newly infected hosts. | Bacteria |
Bacteria | Faster infection rate and progression, but only 3 stages max, and reset to stage 1 in newly infected hosts. | Virus |
Prion | Very fast progression, but very slow infection rate and resets to stage 1 in newly infected hosts. | None |
While multiple diseases can infest an individual, only the equivalent of one disease will ever apply it's effects.
You will need a sample of this virus for every symptom you want to extract, using a syringe on the virus dish will let you get 2 syringes of blood out of it once fully grown.
Take the symptoms you want out of the virus using the splicer and create some disease disks for later.
The extrapolator is also used to extract symptoms. More on this below!
Using the disease we want to spread slot the symptoms into the stage you want.
Incubating the disease will raise or lower its strength robustness and infectability

Be mindful of strenghtening symptom effects with Virus Plasma! Certain symptoms that are otherwise helpful can actually become harmful! For example ones that release adrenaline can lead to exhaustion and heart attacks! Too much of something can lead to unexpected results!
If you aren't an antag re-analyze your virus so its in the database and medical knows what it is, or you will have a mob at your door
Mutagenic Agar will have a chance to roll new symptoms when a stage focus in the Incubator has been set.
You've now made a virus, and are ready to release it into the world!
In the virus label there will be something called the virus antigens, if you are using the Antibody Scanner it will look like this.
Each notch represts a stage in the virus hitting each notch means that stage won't trigger, IE: the first notch is the first symptom.
Assuming the virus is analyzed you will see the notches over antigens those are what is needed to cure the virus.
If you just see a line its not analyzed and will need to be analyzed
You will need to raise the antigens to the topmost line in order to cure it, there are a few ways to do this.
Medication is spaceacillian and other antipathogenics.
Chicken Noodle Soup acts as a really low level anti-pathogenic so it most likely won't cure anything except low level viruses.
Medication | Effect |
---|---|
Spaceacillian | Increases relevant antigens up to a threshold. |
Chicken Noodle Soup | Similar to Spaceacillin, but much weaker. |
Aluxive | Used to counteract immunodeficiency, restoring the Immune System. |
Aetericilide | Boosts Immune System up to 5 times it's starting level. |
Radiohydrate | Suppresses Immune System, useful to stop benevolent pathogens from curing themselves. |
Its advised to raise your antigens to a certain point like 35-45 and than getting virology to create a vaccine, this wont take nearly as long and will help cure other people aswell.
If you followed any of the steps before this you should have cured the disease, but be careful other diseases will lower antigens, and can make you vulnerable to this disease again!
Proper Vaccination will require at least 5 units of the right vaccine, and the antigens from it will dissipate after about 30 minutes.
Here I will talk about some of the tools you will be using.
The Extrapolator is a tool that you start with as soon as you enter the shift. It's an incredibly vital tool in modifying diseases, as you can extract symptoms without getting into the hustle and bustle of extracting each one individually from the splicer. It also gives you time to interact with people outside your lab!
To use it, simply press on someone with it on your hand. You will see a selection of symptoms to choose from. You can only extract each one once, when successful.
You can use it on non-players too, like monkeys. But the symptoms gotten from it are significantly stronger when used on real players! They have to be humanoid though.
After selecting a symptom, you have to complete a mini-game. It's simple, you just have to match the letters in the order that is listed on the left, from top to bottom.
But you can only select the same letters on the same grid that you are on. Meaning, on your first press, you can only select everything on a vertical row, then it switches to horizontal on the next... etc. So plan ahead!
The Extrapolator is your main tool in manipulating varients. These are addons that can be grafted onto symptoms individually that modify them EVEN further! These are obtained when successfully gathering symptoms with the extrapolator, and the chance to gain them on success increases when you upgrade it with a better scanning module.
Here are some varients you might come across:
Varient | Effect |
---|---|
Reflexive | Automatically takes effect when the host is damaged. |
Recursive | Triggers a symptom 3 extra times 2 seconds apart from eachother. |
Clockwork | Like clockwork this symptom triggers every 10 seconds. |
Strengthen | Raises a symptoms strength. |
Quantumly Entangled | The cloning process seems to have caused genes to communicate through hosts. |
To insert varients into symptoms, simply right click your extrapolator in your hand, and press on it against an infected host, or a dish.
This vital tool is one of the first things you should seek out once you start. It allows you to scan bodies for all types of info about their diseases. You will still need to have the disease analyzed prior to this for a more detailed scan, but regardless it will allow you to check a person's immune system and make progress in curing them using the information that is displayed within.
The disease incubator as the name implies incubates diseases.
Growth is how much our virus dish has grown, at 100% it can be analyzed
Volume is the amount of reagents inside the virus dish.
The Mutate variables are how much the dishes symptoms are mutated every process
Virus Food increases dish and virus growth, water on the other hand lowers growth and lowers multipliers.
Upgrading the Incubator also upgrades the Minor Mutate Effects, speeding it up drastically!
The Incubator has a focus feature on the top right. This feature is vital when using reagents in dishes that affect symptoms specifically like virus plasma, as you can focus a specific stage, which will select all symptoms with the same stage.
The disease is made up of a few parts
If a disease isn't analyzed the symptom extracted will show as unknown, so make sure to analyze the disease.
Using the symptom in your memory bank you can burn the symptom onto the disease as the target stage.
You do not need to burn it into the same stage you took it from, you can have a disease with 4 of the same symptom.
Every stage has it's own chance to trigger. As an example, if someone is at disease stage 4, every symptom before it will also still have a chance to trigger.
This is the machine that you should be getting virus dishes from its faster than the isolator can do four at once and can be upgraded.
Unlike other machines the centrifuges processing speed is entirely dependant on the vial count and volumes of the vials, it performs best with all vials having the same reagent count.
The centrifuge is where you create vaccines, you can also isolate a specific virus from a blood sample.
To make a vaccine the blood sample in question needs to have a certain amount of the specific antigen in the blood, the amount of time to create the vaccine varies greatly and if at low concentrations can take upwards of 20 minutes to create a vaccine.
This machine only analyzes diseases, it requires the dish to be 100% grown so you may need to use the incubator. After doing so it will attach a label to the dish that when examined will give details about the virus, as well as adding it to the Database. That looks like this.
Changes made to the virus will not auto update you will need to re-analyze the virus for the effects to update in the database.
