“Dwarf
Malum's chosen.
A proud and robust species of stunted folk, the dwarves are known for their pride in martial strength and their tenacity towards their ancient customs. A Dwarf, much like the rock that they carve their fortress out of, is stubborn and ancient.
They are revered craftsmen, sculptors, smiths, and miners. As an old and mostly out-of-date saying goes, “If you want it done right, lose 2 feet and grow a beard.”
Despite their cultural praise, a long-standing fued[sic] remains between dwarves and elves stemming from old industrial practices. Dwarves hold a strong alliance with humenkind.”
Dwarves are just that: short, stout, and hard as the rock they dwell within. Take a humen, any humen, shorten em by two feet, slap a big bushy beard on em, and you won't find a soul in Psydonia that'll say “that's not a dwarf,” at least, to their face. Dwarven skin is of similar color to humens, but dwarves lack the paler tones, and gain some much darker tones, such as pitch black, and purple. Dwarves get the same arsenal of hair colors as humen, but a dwarf of any age can have the wispy whites associated with the elder years of a humen.
Dwarves face little no institutional discrimination! A dwarf can become any class within the kingdom, with the only exclusion being species-exclusive SUBclasses. Non-institutional discrimination is a different story. It's very, very, easy, to insult a dwarf, usually when it comes to the whole being shorter than everyone else thing. Other than the obvious height insults, the only other non-institutional discrimination a dwarf will face is on the classic, though partly one-sided, elf vs dwarf feud. There are many occasions in which an elf will go on a rant about heritage and the dwarves theft of the snow elf lands. This rant usually falls upon deaf ears, as whatever dwarf they were ranting to was too busy doing actual work to pay attention to a damned knife-ear.
Dwarves generally have a fuse as short as their stature. Dwarves are usually played as a few specific archetypes. They're mostly smiths, miners, and melee-fighters, although can be played with anything, so try something new, break the mold! Dwarves, in a NOT-unique manner, because aasimar exist, cannot be younglings. There are a few theorized reasons for this, perhaps a youngling dwarf would be so short they're compress into a black hole, it's also possible that dwarves are MADE, not born or maybe they'd just be impossible to sprite, but regardless, your youngling dwarf dreams are impossible.
Dwarves receive actually really good upsides, it's actually crazy. Hefty bonuses to STR, CON, and END, which is all you need to melee fight. They also receive hefty downsides to PER, and SPD. A bow in the hands of a dwarf is as useful as a 200 mammon full set of plate is in the hands of a noble.

Dwarves are a sluggish heavy hitter when in the thick of the fight, and usually on the side with the forces of “good” (the church and the crown). They're likely the last to show up to the fight, but once they're in, they're lopping off heads, cracking skulls and biting ankles. The very idea of a dwarf archer is laughable and I won't entertain it, put the bow down and pick up a hammer, FOR MALUM!!
