"Half-Elf
The child of Elf and Humen.
Half-Elves are generally frowned upon by more conservative peoples, although as species tensions lower, more and more half-elves are being born, to the point that some scholars worry that someday, it may be impossible to distinguish the two species.
Half-Elves are extraordinarily diverse, as they combine both Humen and Elvish culture. It is widely considered that Half-Elf culture is simply a melting pot of various others condensing into one vibrant entity.
Their longevity spanning too long for a human and short for an elf lead them to congregate together. Due to their heritage, Half-Elves tend to gain species traits depending on how strong their fathers, or mothers, genes were. Half-Elves also typically try to find identity." - In game flavor text
Half elves are half elf, half humen, they usually come around when humens and elves fornicate, obviously. They visually are identical to humens, except for coloration and ears. Half-elf skin colors have the standard array, pale - black. The only exceptions to this are, from least to most purple, Parasite-Taineted, Mushroom-Minded, and Cave-Attuned, which are… PURPLE, implying that the elf half is a DARK elf half. The half-elves get arguably the most expansive array of hair colors, blacks, reds, blondes, whites, browns, and greens.
Half-elves face zero institutional discrimination, and extremely mild non-institutional discrimination. They can most often slip out of any discrimination by simply agreeing with whoever's spouting it, I.E. if there's an elf hating dwarf around, a half-elf can just say “Mhm, hate them knife ears too, wish I was normal, y'know?" They arguably receive the least non-institutional discrimination out of ANY of the species. A half-elf will only get half the ire from an elf-hating dwarf, and only half the ire from a humen-hating elf.
Elves are… half… elf… obviously, but also half humen. You can choose to have your character identify as a half-humen, if they're particularly ashamed of their more mystical half, ESPECIALLY if that half is a dark elf half. Half-elves can be slotted into any role in the game, but you might raise eyebrows if you're a half-drow monarch, captain, or another one of the top dogs.
Half-elves share a similarity with their humen half, they have no downsides! Compared to a humen, they trade fortune, constitution and endurance for intelligence, perception and speed.

Attribute offsets
Half-elves in combat are smack dab in-between their humen and elf halves. Faster, smarter, and keener than a humen, while being stronger and girthier(don't take this the wrong way) than an elf. While half-elves do LEAN towards being rogues, mages, and archers, they're much less pigeonholed than elves in such regards.
