An Imperialist state carved across the Eastern Continent through political upheaval and military action.
The Grenzelhofts proudly assimilate all those who come under their heel into their Empire, integrating national identities into their fold and destroying them with their own. Bearing the largest armies in the world, which come under vast scrutiny and disgust as they become increasingly desperate to upkeep.
The Grenzelhoftians cannot remember a time when the Empire was not at war, and many have served within its military forces to escape the intense poverty of its lower-class.
Exhibiting a strong sense of pride, mainly towards their own nationality, those outside its realms have likely good reason to escape the encroaching iron grip of house Grenz.
The royal house of Grenz has come to Enigma. Whether their mission is peaceful from the war exhaustion or one of intrigue to scout out wealth, the prideful have come to witness the dirt.
Count/Countess | A Count hailing from the Grenzelhoft Imperiate, here on an official visit to the Isle of the Enigma alongside his beloved convoy and spouse. As much as it can be considered unwise to bring one's family on a trip that is truly dangerous, one is wise to know that even the nobles have extensive knowledge in fighting. |
Grenzelhoft Knight | Duty given by the Kaiser himself, the supreme ruler of Grenzelhoft, they are appointed as retinue to the nobles. Their duty is to ensure the survival of their masters and obey any orders given by them. Their loyalties are extremely strong, as this is a matter of honor and pride. |
Grenzelhoft Men-at-Arms | A soldier belonging under the banner of their local liege sent to accompany the nobles. While not chosen by Kaiser, they were chosen by the Count. |
Inquisitor | A member of the Inquisitorial order, sent by the Bishop themselves to clear the land of Vanderlin of heresy. Their common goal is to, if not convert the locals to worshipping Psydon again, prevent the heresy of the deep woods from spreading. While they do not serve Grenzelhoft in any direct sense, they approve of Grenzelhoft converting all peoples to worship of Psydon. |
Grenzelhoft Mercenary | A Grenzelhoft Mercenary, wearing plume hat with pride and wielding a Zweihander with an iron grip. They work for coin and coin alone and do not represent any party by default except for themselves. |
