"From a young age you have been drawn to blood, to hurting others. Eventually you found others like you, and a god who would bless your actions. Your cursed dagger has never led you astray, and with every stab you feel a little less empty."
Many reasons one turns to the DARK side; intentionally or not, forced to collect the souls to save either yourself or a loved one, or just being a PROUD follower of the DARK ones, though, sometimes those following his blade do it for their own desires and joy, and being a psychopathic, bloodthirsty, MONSTER in general.
GRAGGAR, HE IS THE ONE WHISPERING TO YOU, TELLING YOU THE NEXTVICTIM, NOTHING CAN STOP YOU, AND IF SO HAPPENS, HE WOULDN'T IGNORE IT. BIND THEIR SOULS FOR HIM.
You've been in disguise for long enough, now is the time to strike!
You can only ever spawn as an Assassin by choosing it as a sub-class of Pilgrim. There can only be 2 Assassins in one game, so you're not the only one stealing souls there.
It is essential for a murderer like you to have a disguise, so, before actually starting to play, you are greeted with a list of available disguises to choose from:
Apart from the skills you get from your disguise, you start with actual needed skills:

A thousands voices echo from out the dagger...they watch, as you bind another soul...
Your really cool looking profane dagger is able to distinguish your target EVEN if its hiding its face, to remind yourself who your targets were, either check notes or a special verb. And if you haven't figured it out, you start with a bottle filled with poison! Simply open the lid, dip the dagger into it and it shall serve you until you stab someone and thus repeating the cycle! Though, don't rely on it much, it's always best to just keep stabbing until the last breath!
To bind one's soul, the target has to be either in critical condition or DEAD, everytime you examine your target, your dagger reminds you of it being your target. It also likes saying some funny phrases when wielding it, but only if there aren't any souls inside...
No one can hear the dagger whispering when you wield it!
The voices coming from it...horrific...
"Help me..."
"Save me..."
"It's cold..."
"Free us...please..."
"Necra...deliver...us..."
Don't, under ANY circumstances TOUCH the DAGGER if you're NOT an ASSASSIN, you will receive a terrible mood debuff!
Binding a target's soul awards you with TRIUMPH, if the target has died and its body is somewhere else, it will take a bit to force them back! Once you bind their soul, they will be forced stuck in your dagger! They will be able to talk with you from it, and anyone close enough might hear them! The dagger can be purified and its souls freed either with the help of the priest or gravetender.
As i said earlier, the maximum number of Assassins in one game is 2. And, sometimes, you both can get the same target, and Graggar would love to see the ants fight for a piece!
You know, sometimes it's not about getting that nonexisting greentext, it's about the friends you've made in the end. Yes you found your target legless near a maneater roundstart, yes you tried throwing him off the river. But, you didn't? You instead brought him to the physicker, got him a new leg, got drunk with him, shared some stories, made some money by fighting underground with others? Remember one thing, it's a GAME and whatever you do as an antagonist, the most important thing to have in mind is being a cool always making it cool for other players to make it an enjoyable experience from everyones' perspectives!
